I read A Christmas Gone Perfectly Wrong last year when you mentioned it on Twitter, and it was wonderful. I'll reread while things are in the oven this week and I really ought to be doing something else to fuel the magic factory or bring in the income...I struggle with the holidays too, so thank you for your honestly. It means a lot

I just appreciate your honesty about your experience of the holidays. I’m not like you … I am gleefully giddy about the holidays and then gradually (EVERY YEAR) worn down and down and down until a week before I’m like .. IS IT OVER YET?!?!? I am obsessed with all four Cecilia Grant books, and you’ve made the holiday novella (and, ahem, yours!!) two of the bright spots of my holidays.

Thank you for sharing. And vulnerability. It’s been rough for me this year trying to get in the holiday spirit. I feel a lot of those same things. Even comparing myself to the me of last year or the year before.

(And why doesn’t Cecilia Grant write anymore?!? I just read A Woman Entangled and was hoping for more!!)

Thank you for reminding me of this lovely novella! I'll have to reread it as a private Christmas celebration all for myself.

Thanks for expressing my feelings about the season so much better than I can. It's too much, too much, too much. Thanksgiving is too early to start but the day after I'm already behind. Off to read this novella.

Thank you for sharing! I can’t wait to read this novella. You are not alone in feeling the stress of the holiday season. I take time to read my favorite holiday books for kids- How The Grinch Stole Christmas, the Red Ranger Came Calling, Christmas Day In the Morning, Humphry’s First Christmas. They remind me of the true meaning of the season. I hope you have a holiday full of joy and love.

This book is perfect perfect perfect!!! I am so glad I took your recommendation a few years ago because now it’s my holiday tradition too. I wish it were in paperback too so I could give it to my PPB-only sister

Yes it’s an extraordinary novella! I recommend it to a lot of people.

I also don’t love Christmas time. I think anyone who has lost loved ones feels that grief amid an atmosphere where you’re surrounded by people being “most jolly”. As a procrastinator December represents the chore list from hell.

I am now at the point where I can say I really enjoy certain Christmas songs and seeing decorated houses on my walks. A fun rom com on Hallmark or Netflix. So I try to pick and choose parts of the season I enjoy. And yup -- Christmas novels and novellas are the best! Like yours, Kate!
